AAMD Curriculum Guidelines

The AAMD Medical Dosimetry Educational Program Curriculum Guidelines outline the professional content areas important for educating medical dosimetrists. The 2024 Curriculum Guidelines are available for review. The guidelines were approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and become effective on September 1, 2025.

The main changes to the 2024 Curriculum Guidelines include(d) updates on multiple sections, including clinical competencies, computers and networking, and various special procedures in order to maintain consistency with new technology/practices as well as be consistent with current clinical practices. Input from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) and JRCERT was incorporated in this revision, as well as members of the AAMD Formal Education Committee (FEC) and other educators currently teaching in the field of medical dosimetry.
