2009-10 Nominations
The following positions are open for nominations for the upcoming election:
President-elect
Membership Secretary
Region I
Region II
Nominations Process
Nominations for President-elect, recording secretary, membership secretary, treasurer, and regional directors are solicited, reviewed, and approved by the nominating committee with the concurrence of the Board of Directors.
Nominations Committee will obtain consent of the nominee and verify their eligibility. Appropriate forms must be completed by the nominee to be eligible for the election.
All nominees must be Full members in good standing. See AAMD by-laws for specific eligibility requirements for each position. Nominations shall be open from the end of the annual meeting for the immediately preceding year until the following December 31st. Elections shall be by ballots mailed by general mailing to the Full members. All ballots shall be dated and postmarked no later than 70 days prior to the annual meeting.
In the event of lack of nominations for a particular office, it is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to appoint someone for office at the annual meeting.
Officers and Regional Directors shall begin terms on August 1st following the election. Length of terms for each position can be found in the AAMD by-laws.
